โ Option guide / important notes
Audio processing notes
- Audio edits may be exported as WAV, which can be much larger than compressed formats such as MP3/M4A.
- Silence thresholds vary by recording. -30 dB is a useful starting point for speech; -20 dB is more aggressive, while -40/-50 dB marks only quieter sections as silence.
๐ก Useful for
Useful when you need Silence Detector without installing desktop software, especially when you prefer browser-side processing that does not upload the original file to the server.
โ Notes

โ Frequently Asked Questions
Is the file uploaded to the HARAM Tool server?
This media tool is designed to process the original file directly on your device in supported browsers. File contents are not stored in tool analytics.
Will every MP3, M4A or MOV file open?
No. Files with the same extension may use different codecs, and a codec the browser cannot decode cannot be processed.
Can I use it on mobile?
Yes, but large files may fail because of memory limits. A desktop browser is recommended for large media files.
